Mrs Beverly Allan – Head Teacher
I have worked at Brookside Primary School since September 1995. I started my career here with a class of Year 1 pupils. The following year I moved into Reception Class where I spent 12 very happy years. Whilst teaching in Reception I also became a member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for the Infant Department and also for being subject leader for Literacy, I then became Deputy Head. In January 2008 I was appointed as Head Teacher and I am thoroughly enjoying the role.
Mrs Amanda Hailwood – Deputy Head
I am the Deputy Head, leading on behaviour, Pupil Premium and SEND. I teach the wonderful children in Blackbird Class and lead the subject of Maths across school.
Mrs Sarah Birch
I work in Robin Class and I am the school’s EYFS, Science, PSHE, Art, DT, MFL and Healthy Schools Leader. I am a Lancashire Leading Phonics Teacher and also a qualified Forest School Leader running forest school sessions in our wonderful school grounds. Outside of school I enjoy reading and spending time with my family who are all avid cricket supporters and players.
Mrs Natalie Strong
I have been teaching since 2002 and I am thrilled to be teaching Goldfinch Class at Brookside. I have previously worked at a school in Bolton across different classes in Key Stage 2. Alongside teaching I am the Geography, History, Healthy Schools and PE Lead. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends. I also teach children's dance on Saturdays and run dance classes for adults during the week.
